Amy is an only child who lives on the edge of the old grown native forests in Eastern Victoria, Australia. She loves spending time in the forest and considers the trees and animals her friends. In the first book of the series, Amy hears that her forest is being threatened by developers and she just has to do something to try and stop them!

In the second book, Amy's parents make a snap decision to move to the city of Melbourne due to Covid lockdowns. Amy has to adjust to city living and makes a new friend, Jack. She is surprised and perplexed at the lack of green open space in the area. She decides to team up with Jack and do something about it, coming up against obstacles that seem insurmountable.

Another move sees Amy living in a different suburb in the third book. She comes across a dog that seems to have no owner, and has to come up with some creative ideas to earn its trust. Another development threatens the serenity of a quiet street and Amy finds herself assisting the neighbours to fight the council once again.

These books are inspiring stories suitable for 8-14 year olds, where Amy is passionate about the environment and demonstrates you are never too young to make a difference!
